A delegation of senior leaders of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), led by President Abie Sano, visited the Mekedonia Humanitarian Association at Ayat 49 in Addis Ababa and observed the organization’s ongoing construction project and other humanitarian activities.
Speaking during the visit, President Abie Sano said Mekedonia’s human-centered efforts to support vulnerable members of society facing hardship for various reasons have significant social value.
He emphasized that the CBE, its employees, and management would continue to stand alongside Mekedonia and further strengthen their support for the association, as they have done in the past.
Founder of the Mekedonia Humanitarian Association, Mr. Biniyam Belete, expressed his appreciation to the CBE leadership for visiting the association during their day off, saying, “We thank you for giving priority to Mekedonia among the many social causes and visiting us during your day of rest.”
According to Ato Biniyam, the continued support and visits made by the CBE and its employees have made a significant contribution to strengthening the association’s capacity to carry out its humanitarian activities.
He also recalled that the association has designated Pagumen 1 as “Commercial Bank of Ethiopia Day” in recognition of the bank’s continued support.
Biniyam further noted that both the nearly completed building and the humanitarian activities being carried out by the association are the results of collective support from various institutions and compassionate citizens, including the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.
The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of CBE and Mekedonia to supporting vulnerable members of society and contributing to efforts aimed at lifting those who have fallen and saving lives.
