Commercial Nominees PLC and BVG India Limited conducted consultations and a field visit with the Addis Ababa City Administration on integrated modern waste management systems, in line with a memorandum of understanding previously signed between the two companies.
The discussions focused on potential areas of cooperation with the city administration across the entire waste management value chain, including waste collection, recycling, waste-to-energy, and fuel conversion solutions.
Meetings were held with Engineer Wendimu Seta, General Manager of Addis Ababa City with the rank of Deputy Mayor, and Mr. Takele Desisa, Deputy Director General for Projects and Disposal Site Management at the Addis Ababa City Cleansing Management Agency.
Particular emphasis was placed on construction waste management and waste-to-energy initiatives. The parties discussed opportunities for joint implementation with the city administration and agreed that detailed technical and implementation proposals would be prepared for further review and consultation.
During the meeting, Commercial Nominees PLC Chief Executive Officer, Commander Tilahun Tsegaye, expressed the company’s readiness to work closely with the Addis Ababa City Administration in partnership with BVG India Limited, based on jointly developed proposals and implementation plans. He also expressed appreciation for the city administration’s commitment to advancing modern and sustainable waste management practices.
BVG India Limited’s representative, Mr. Shrikant Navnath Hange, highlighted the company’s extensive experience and technological capabilities in integrated waste management and other outsourcing services.
