Commercial Nominees PLC (CN) management and employees from the Head Office and Bole Branch participated in Ethiopia’s 8th National Green Legacy Initiative, held under the theme “Planting Hope,” by planting fruit tree seedlings in the Bole Bulbula area of Addis Ababa.
The tree-planting campaign forms part of the nationwide environmental initiative aimed at expanding green cover, promoting environmental sustainability, and enhancing food security through the cultivation of fruit-bearing trees.
Speaking during the event, CN Chief Business Officer, Mr. Gebrehiwot Getahun, said the Company has consistently participated in the annual Green Legacy Initiative. He noted that, beyond planting the seedlings, CN is committed to ensuring their proper care and maintenance so that they grow successfully and deliver long-term environmental and economic benefits.
Employees who took part in the campaign emphasized that increasing green spaces across the country helps build a more sustainable future. They reaffirmed their commitment to nurturing the seedlings they planted, describing it as a civic responsibility and an important contribution to the success of the national Green Legacy Initiative.
The event was attended by Mr. Asfaw Legesse, Head of the Employment and Food Security Sector at the Addis Ababa City Administration Labor and Skills Bureau; Mrs. Anchinesh Tesfaye, Deputy Chief Executive of Bole Sub-City Administration and Head of the Labor and Skills Office; and other senior officials from the Addis Ababa City Administration, who also participated in the tree-planting campaign.
The Addis Ababa Labor and Skills Bureau coordinated the program by bringing together institutions engaged in security and cleaning services to support the successful implementation of the national Green Legacy Initiative.
